Abuse Manager Feature Highlight: Automating Screenshots

Evidence is an important factor when reviewing potential DNS abuse cases.

iQ Abuse Manager's features include various evidence gathering features such as DNS information, past cases (if present), available Whois data and much more.

Visual evidence can be especially helpful, and Abuse Manager includes functionality to take screenshots, where possible, that are linked to the case.

The first screenshot attempt is at the time the case for a domain name is crated. Abuse Manager includes additional functionality to safeguard against sensitive content.

Abuse agents can switch screenshot viewing on and off on a case by case basis or even at a global level.

Furthermore, you can also enable the blurring of screenshots by default. Again this can be done globally or at a case by case basis.

And finally, abuse agents can check to see if any recent changes have occurred, by using the "take screenshot" feature. This allows them to take a screenshot at any time they are reviewing and managing a case.

Of course, having an audit trail is key to managing abuse cases and every time a screenshot is taken (or indeed a file or other evidence uploaded), this is saved in the case notes for future reference.

Providing the abuse agent with much needed critical evidence for managing and mitigating DNS threats.
